Finding a hotel that is family friendly but also elegant is not always an easy task. We did some research, and here are 5 reasons we should go to The Lodge and Spa at Callaway Gardens. Your trip to Georgia will become much more fun by staying here!

Visit the Callaway Gardens
These amazing and exotic gardens host a variety of birds of prey, hundreds of butterfly species and colorful flowers. There are also numerous exhibits and events happening here everyday that may spark your interest. The Callaway Gardens are definitely a place kids will love seeing and give adults the chance to relax.

Take a walk in the FDR State Park
FDR State Park is one of those places every tourist loves. The Park is large enough for any kind of sport activity to take place, and includes long hiking and biking trails. If you are in the mood for an adventure you can even go camping here with your friends.

Go see the Wild Animal Safari
If you are looking for a drive-thru park to see wild life, then search no more. The Wild Animal Safari is the ideal place to see and take pics of a bison, but also giraffes and deer. In summer, the park offers a great escape for any traveler.

Go to the Warm Springs
Unlike the name suggests, Warm Springs is actually a small town rich in American history. Located about 15 miles from The Lodge, the town offers good shopping opportunities, but also historical monuments and museums.

Fishing on the West Point Lake
If you are not bothered by going a little out of your way to visit the area, the West Point Lake is situated some 20 miles from the resort. Here you can do fishing, rent a boat, but also camp if you want to spend the night over.
